Accreditation

The Swedish speaking section of the Scandinavian School of Madrid  is subordinate to the Swedish National Agency for Education, “Skolverket”, which controls the operations.

The English speaking section is undergoing a rigorous accreditation programme offered by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).  The school has an approved plan for the accreditation and has already been awarded "candidate status" from both organisations.

The School is also approved by the Spanish Ministry of Education to deliver education to foreign and Spanish pupils in the school. The School’s education is supervised by the Spanish school authority “Consejería de Educación”.
