Hi all and welcome to the Scandinavian school's website.
What fun that you found us!
We are a small Scandinavian school in
Madrid, which this year celebrates its 65th anniversary. Our school
has everything from 2 years up to 19 years old children. At school, there are about 240
children / students and we are about 35-40 in the staff
group. I work as a headmistress at the school and came here in
October 2009 direct from Sweden. I have a very varied working day
with many different tasks, meetings and events. Our school is located
on the outskirts of Madrid, in La Moraleja and has large green areas
with plenty of space for children to play on.
We work from the Swedish curriculum, the
Swedish regulations, and follow the Swedish and Spanish regulations
as far as possible, given the resources we have.
The school is run by a parents' cooperative
and the board consists of parents of children at school. In addition
to the school to function well, there is no profit interest.
We have a very dedicated staff,
ambitious students and cosy atmosphere - there is a lot of fun at
school!
You are welcome to come and visit us
and if you want to read a bit more about what is happening, please
read the different work teams’ letters as well as my letters which I
occasionally write. Click on the link here so you can read my
